Ultimate Guitar tabs
for any kind of music!

Check out my new blog for more information on electric guitars!

Ultimate guitar tabs at the pre-eminent Ultimate-Guitar.com is not just a one-stop shop for guitar tabs. They have news, review, and interviews. You can sign up with a profile to access their forums. They also have lessons and contests on the site. Below is a screen shot of Ultimate-Guitar.com

But the real reason is the wealth of guitar tabs.

When you log onto Ultimate-Guitar.com, click on a number or letter to access the artists. If you can't find someone you're looking for, check whether the group has the word "the" in front of their name such as The Monkees (actually The Monkees are under "M"). When you click on a letter it will take you from the Ultimate Guitar tab homepage to an alphabetized list of bands and artists.

To the right of the bands name is the number of tabs on site for that band.

Scroll down the page to access other pages under the same letter. For instance, the band "Boston" is on the 21st page of the letter B with 130 tabs listed. Click on the bands name to open a new page with a list of songs.

As you scroll through the songs, you will notice song names to the left, followed by ratings then the type of tab. Sometimes a song will be listed more than once.

When you click on "Boston", the next page shows the song "A man I'll never be tab" listed four times. The first two are different versions of printed tabs.

This page is great to print and take to band practice. There's also an auto-scroll feature on these types of tabs so the tab scrolls down automatically (you control the speed). Check out all versions of the printed tabs as they vary in quality.

The next two tabs for this song are Guitar Pro and Power Tab. Both of these are song editing software where you can tab songs on your own and upload to various guitar tab websites.

Here's how to access these types of Ultimate guitar tabs:

  • Click on either tab
  • You are taken to an intermediate page that has a radio button near the bottom
  • It will say something like- download "A man I'll never be" Power Tab
  • Click the radio button which will take you to a download page on your computer
  • Click OK (save to file) and the tab will appear on a new page
Below is a screen shot of Guitar Pro.

Now you can have fun! Ultimate guitar tabs are great to learn new tunes fast.

No more struggling to figure out where the notes are at. It's all here for you! Too easy!
